Sports Equipment Sales Representative

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sports Equipment Sales Representative to join our team. The Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling our company’s range of sports equipment to retail outlets, sports clubs, schools, and other potential customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Generation: Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed sales targets.

  2. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their needs and inquiries promptly and professionally.

  3. Product Promotion: Educate customers about our range of sports equipment, highlighting key features, benefits, and competitive advantages to stimulate interest and drive sales.

  4. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities, and provide feedback to management to inform product development and marketing strategies.

  5. Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for customers to showcase our products effectively and drive sales.

  6. Order Processing: Process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and fulfillment of customer orders, and resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise.

  7. Sales Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales performance metrics, and provide regular reports to management to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

  8. Trade Shows and Events: Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and sporting events to promote our products, network with potential customers, and generate leads.

  9. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to coordinate sales efforts, share feedback, and contribute to overall business growth.

  10. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry best practices through training programs, workshops, and self-directed learning initiatives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the sports equipment industry or a related field.
  • Strong passion for sports and a good understanding of sports equipment and gear.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify sales opportunities, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive and energetic approach to sales.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel locally or regionally as required for customer visits, trade shows, and events.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
